Week 3: Little Nemo Response

Something I thought was interesting about Little Nemo is how colorful it was and the drawings that were made. In class going to the library to look at different comic strips and looking at Little Nemo, I was so interested in reading it. There’s so much information to see and enjoy because of the size. I feel if you had Little Nemo in a standard comic book format or any smaller you wouldn’t get the same effect rather if you read it in the format it was intended to be in. Another thing I noticed after looking at the original one, reading it online is definitely not the same either. Since there’s so much information you have to zoom in and move around a lot to understand everything because it’s in such a special format.

Another thing I enjoyed about Little Nemo was the stories that were shown in the comic. They all end up the same, he wakes up. It’s pretty repetitive in that sense, but I think that way it’s formatted and shown makes up for that tremendously. It kind of reminds me of where you’re so distracted by the pretty lights that you don’t pay attention to the other things. Regardless of that I think Little Nemo is a pretty great comic that I really enjoyed reading.
